Apple TV is awesome, and other stuff

One of the last purchases my family made before I found out the bad news was an Apple TV. We've had it up and running for a few days now and I am still in awe. If you have netflix you can pull from it. You can also watch youtube on it and there is other net based stuff too. Even with only 2 gigs of Ram on the computer we are using and on wireless g it's a quick load and great picture. There's also a free app, so if you have an iphone or an ipad, you can run it off of those. The Iphone/Ipad app gives a much deeper interface than the included remote, but it does get the job done. In closing, if you can spare the money, it's worth it.

So, onto other news. I have a webinar tomorrow and Thursday with the "transition" service that my ex employer is working with. Seems to me instead of "transition service" they should call it a "conscience clearing service" but that's beside the point. I'm doing my best not to be bitter, but I still have my moments. It's help I need if I want to get back on my feet quickly so I'm going to use it. I mean I've updated my resume but I'm sure that I could use help with interviews and the application process. It seems like applications have gotten more complicated than they used to be. That or I've forgotten a lot in three years.

Final note for the day. I like movies. Watched Moon last night with my wife. What a great movie that was. Little tidbit I just learned; the director Duncan Jones is David Bowie's son. Sam Rockwell is riveting as Sam Bell. I'm going to spoil the movie because I know there are tons of people that haven't seen it yet. It's great because you don't need to be a sci-fi fan to be moved by it. If you are a sci-fi fan
the puzzles are that much better. Just trust me on this.

Ok I lied, this is the final note. After watching Moon, I decided to watch Galaxy Quest again (it's on as I write this). What a fun movie. I honestly forgot Sam Rockwell was in this. He steals the show here too. One good thing about being jobless...I have plenty of time to watch movies.
